The AGDA-NC executive leadership board is proud to announce, as our first official contest, the opportunity to design the official logo\/brand for our organization. We’re hoping you’ll put up flyers and promote the contest to your students. Several programs are using this contest as a class project, so we’d love any involvement you can swing our way. We need a distinct, eye-catching graphic that will be used across all media and communication materials the organization utilizes to carry out our mission!\u00a0<\/p>\n

The newly formed Advertising and Graphic Design Association of North Carolina (AGDA_NC) is inviting North Carolina Community College students \u0003currently enrolled in Advertising and Graphic Design programs to submit designs for their logo. The mission of the AGDA_NC is to support and promote Advertising and Graphic Design in the North Carolina Community College System, within North Carolina\u2019s Independent Colleges and Universities, and in the University of North Carolina System. The NCAGDA is seeking students who can design a creative, innovative and professional logo design. This new logo should be unique, recognizable and help promote the association and its members as it will be used widely in materials and promotions.<\/p>\n

In order for your entry to be submitted and reviewed by our judges, all entries must be: Format: Submitted as an .ai or .eps file. PDF: Also submitted as a high-res .pdf @300 dpi. Color: Any CMYK colors are allowed. However, logo must look good in color or black and white. Integrity: Logos shall not contain copyrighted material. Logos must have been created and edited by the contestant(s). Logos may not include images or licensed images that have been previously published. Must be easily reproducible and scalable for large and small formatting.<\/p>\n

Winners will be selected by the association\u2019s executive board. Contestants agree that AGDA_NC may publish their logo and name(s) and may use both for advertising campaigns and\/or marketing materials in the future. Contestants assign all ownership rights, including all intellectual property rights to the logo, to AGDA_NC. Additionally, AGDA_NC may alter, modify or revise the logo as it sees necessary to achieve the goals of the organization. AGDA_NC reserves the right to not select a winner if, in its sole discretion, no suitable entries are received. Submissions will be accepted through midnight of Friday, March 27, 2020.
